  • Question: Should I use distilled water?
  • Answer: Most of Ufesa steam irons and steam stations are designed for ironing with ordinary tap water. If the tap water is very hard (superior to 17º HD) then water mixed with distilled or demineralised water is recommended.

  • Question: How to save energy and time?
  • Answer: Check to see if the garment bears a label containing ironing instructions.

     •  Synthetic Fibres Low temperature
     • •  Silk - Wool Medium temperature
     • • •  Cotton - Linen High temperature

    It is recommended to iron synthetic garments first and cotton and linen, at the end. This way you will save not energy and water. After each use, unplug the appliance from the mains supply and empty the tank.

  • Question: How to remove unpleasant smells from the clothes?
  • Answer: Vertical steam can be used to remove unpleasant smells. Move the temperature regulator to the maximum and wait until it reaches temperature. Hang the garment on a hanger, place the iron some 10-20 cm away and press the shut of steam push button several times.
