Check that the appliance is unplugged and has cooled down sufficiently, but do not wait for it to go stone cold as it is always easier to remove scraps while the griddle is still warm. Always clean the griddle after each use. This will prevent food scraps from becoming stuck to it. Wipe the griddle plate with a kitchen towel. Stubborn remains can be removed with the help of a little oil. The rest of the appliance can be cleaned with damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as these could damage the nonstick coating. Ufesa contact grills can be also washed in the dishwasher.
